The message of the magazine "Cuadernos para el Diálogo" through its "pages of humor". The Layus´s cartoons
Abstract
The graphical humor was used during Franco`s Dictatorship as instrument to criticize the Regime and his repressive methods, to denounce the absence of rights and freedoms of the citizens and to defend values and democratic principles, all this under the eyes of the controller and with a own language and shared by many people as the humour and the cartoon. In this article we intend to analyze the drawings of Layus, published in the magazine Cuadernos para el diálogo, from January 1968 to July 1971, when he was the only cartoonist of the publication. Cartoons that have not been studied so far and from where he will fight to obtain a political change.Downloads
