The ideological tendencies of the actors of the plebiscite in Colombia: analysis in online press
Abstract
Once the negotiation between colombian government and FARC guerrillas were concluded, President Juan Manuel Santos called a plebiscite to consult colombian people whether or not they supported the agreement signed after the negotiation. The campaigns for and against the plebiscite highlighted the ideological tendencies of the Government and the opponents of the Peace Agreement, and media played a key role in that scenario, as they were not only the bridge between the negotiating table and the citizen, they were also useful to the propaganda interests of the two political position; this was reflected in the configuration of information, which frequently appealed to the quotation of the discourse of both parties.Downloads
