Informative television in the digital environment: analysis of the daily editions of the leading generalist audience channels in Spain
Abstract
Although initially it could be thought that all national generalist television news seem to be similar, a detailed analysis of them show that they present significant differences between them, both in structure and in content, presentation and staging. In the following pages, are presented the results of a study in which the daily news of the leading channels in audience in the State have been analysed and compared: Telecinco, TVE and Antena 3. Among the main results achieved, we find that, despite different information profiles currently coexist, the most followed by the audience are those that emphasize the spectacular and emotional aspects of the news above the strict information facts.Downloads
