Factual documentary: proposal of characterization through the analysis of "Documentos TV" and "En Portada"
Abstract
Factual documentary has become a scare gender in programming schedules of DTT in Spain. It is absent in private channels and it is programming in public channels, but it’s followed shortly by the audience. This situation has contributed its deficiency of concretion about its own features. For decades, many researchers and even filmmakers have confused factual documentary with similar genders as reportage or informative documentary. We propose the statistical analyse of Documentos TV and En Portada from La 2 Channel of Spanish Public Television (TVE). From this research, we aim to establish a conceptualization and approach to definition of factual documentary on Spanish television. We hope to contribute to its recognition in the reporting formats.Downloads
