Professional competencies in the field of journalistic specialization. Proposal of educational coordination for undergraduate studies

Abstract

In last decades, specialized journalism has become a field of great academic and professional relevance for their potential approach to development for the sector. From the review of a sample of subjects in this field within the curriculum of the Degree in Journalism at the University Jaume I, this work aims to make a proposal to coordinate development of their practices sessions and link it with the acquisition of basic professional competencies. In this regard, there are two significant contributions: a joint practice programme of five subjects including their objectives, activities, evaluation methods and learning outcomes; and a timeline that organizes its progressive development over the last two years of the degree.
