The innovation in the teaching of German by Richard Ratti-Kámeke (1873-1945) in Barcelona in the early XXth century
Abstract
The aim of this article, which addresses a blind spot in the history of language learning in Spain, is twofold: to detail information about one of the authors and teachers of German ―in this case the Berliner Richard Ratti-Kámeke (1873-1945)― and at the same time detail aspects of the innovation in the teaching of German among Spanish speakers carried out by him. In this sense, the study is integrated into AILA Research Network for the History of Language Learning and Teaching (HoLLT.net) whose objective is to promote research on the history of language learning and teaching on a broad and international basis.
