From salvation object to heroes of their own story. The evolution of the princesses in the present children’s literature
Abstract
This article presents an analysis of the role played by the girl – princess in the present children’s literature regarding works published over the last decade. For this purpose, we have used the keys proposed in Vladimir Propp’s work: Morfology of the fairy tales to establish a quantitative and descriptive study of the achievement of the functions and the traceable change visible in the characters responsible for the actions. At least, we offer a brief discussion over the need to include new lectures in the Didactics of the Language and Literature area at elementary and primary school levels as a tool to promote the gender equality.Downloads
