Body and arts constructions for a transformative childhood education
Abstract
The body and the arts are fields of study that offer pedagogical potentials that must be reviewed under the prism of today's society needs. Therefore, a contribution is made to the discussion of these topics under a multidisciplinary perspective. First, a dynamic vision of the body as a social, cultural and political symbol, as well as a study of the educational capacities of artistic languages, are studied. Second, elements of contemporary art education and corporal education are analyzed, under the precept of finding educational alternatives appropriate to the requirements of body-related work. Finally, the research is supported on Tamayo's previous analysis of the transition from initial to basic education to innovatively suggest transformative approaches from the body and the arts, which contribute to the generation of an adequate educational sequence.
