Los espacios logrados y habitados: Escultura y arquitectura a la luz de la obra de Eduardo Chillida y del pensamiento de Martin Heidegger
Abstract
We analyze the essence of Chillidas’s sculpture regarding the differences between architectonical and sculptural treatment of space. This specificity reveals us an original and radical exploration of space, that gets us to reside, i, e. to stay with the place, in the sense exposed by Heidegger. The reflection on the limits between sculpture and architecture provoked by the Basque sculptor and the German philosopher may bring claryfing conclusions for the arts, especially for sculpture, and for creativíty in general, as for a critical reflection on vital and aesthetic dimensions of architecture.Downloads
