Arte and social work: an interdisciplinary experience to achieve resilience in the field of professional training

Keywords: art, Covid19, psychological resilience, social work

Abstract

The present work aims to narrate what happened on an urban beach, transformed into a classroom, to host the continuous writing of a group of students, who decide to manage the discomfort, expressing, through the art of action, the need of "Living Despite Everything", looking for beauty and hope, in everything that also happens and it is experience.

The methodology used in the research-action paradigm, uses art as a mediator, to cause a cognitive change in the students of an Integrated Center for Vocacional Training (CIFP) in A Coruña, so that the students acquire an attitude of social compromise, which allows them to overcome the base of vicarious aggressiveness. The change of use of an urban beach, turned into a classroom, was fundamental both for the development of the actions and their visibility.

In order to determine the fulfillment of the objective, a questionnaire is created, organized in 6 dimensions. The responses obtained were analyzed through the content analysis technique and showed both the cognitive transformation of the students and the impact of the project on the environment.
