Analysis of the installation art “Play scenography to grow with culture” for the 0-3 years-old first cycle of Early Childhood Education. A proposal for a journey through play and art
Abstract
Through this piece of research, we have studied 20 sessions of the proposal Play scenography to grow with culture, carried out by Teatro Paraíso in the 5 Municipal Nursery Schools of Vitoria-Gasteiz (EIMU). A case study has been adopted as a methodological framework in which 166 families have participated, which together with the educators who have been observers, add up to a total of 372 people. The objective was to reveal the characteristics and educational possibilities of this artistic-educational proposal through the analysis of the audio-visual material collected and the experiences investigated through the interviews. The results, categorized with the help of NVivo Release software, make visible the characteristics need in an installation art to encourage play and interactions in early childhood, concluding that these proposals have a pedagogical value not only for children, but also for the adults who participate and get involved in them.
