The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum; evaluating it’s educative programs to teach art
Abstract
This work rises up from the obtained results of the R&D Project “Qualitative Evaluation of Educative Programs in the Spanish Museums” (in spanish, E.C.P.E.M.E, “Evaluación Cualitativa de Programas Educativos en Museos Españoles”) developed in 13 different museums. Through mixed direct observation protocols of the qualitative methodology, it’s possible to access to an evaluation of the educative action effectiveness by using a tool (multicategory assessment), which allows to get a graphic profile, showing all the assessments converted from qualitative forms into figures.
After presenting the research project, the outcomes obtained in the specific case of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum are analyzed in the next lines, highlighting the importance of the programs to teach art.
