“Broke Disney”. A Critical Review of the Audiovisual Animation through the Artistic Work of Marina Salazar
Abstract
Disney is understood as an USA animation producer that creates a collective discourse and imaginary that takes root in citizenship. As a result of this decontextualized influence, an artistic counter-discourse is forged today to counteract these biased positions. The objective of this research is to make visible the influence of Marina Salazar through her sculptural collection Broke Disney to bring the population closer to more updated and respectful messages regarding diversity. For this, ARTography is used as a methodology included in Arts-Based Research, since it combines art, research and teaching. However, didactic-artistic examples are concluded to educate citizens in feminist and queer principles.
