Abstract

Jean-Luc Godard’s films bet from the beginning on the search of a refined and refreshing language, in which scientific knowledge figures prominently. In particular, the filmmaker has satisfactorily assimilated and incorporated mathematical thinking into his discourse at different levels, as we intend to reflect throughout this article. From metaphor to political thinking, and from editing to the theory of communication, the “mathematization” of Godard’s cinema is one of the most interesting aspects of his new narrative.
