Abstract

“Red spice: Podemos as the season’s television revelation” is a reflection on Podemos, television channels and the symbiotic relationship they have built up between them. From the popularization of Pablo Iglesias up to what today the party considers a media campaign of discredit. ThePodemos effect has transformed television “roastings” into a sort of political reality show that boosts audience figures, but has unpredictable consequences for the project.
