Students that do not perform educational activities: The case of a highly complex school during quarantine by COVID-19

Keywords: child at risk, hight complexity school, education, COVID-19 quarantine

Abstract

The aim of the study is to describe the experience of a high complexity public school  in Catalonia during the confinement by COVID-19. The school took into account the guidelines of the Department of Education as well as the socioeconomic context of the families to adopt measures that promote communication and performance of school activity. The results show that less than half of the students of the highly complex school deliver the educative assignments. Short and long-term measures are proposed to decrease the risk factors of children in vulnerable situations and improve their academic performance.
