University, Society and Networking: Perspectives on the Use of Academic Professional Social Networks
Abstract
Currently, the link between university and society can be articulated through the usual channels (OTRIs, Foundations and UniversityIndustry Chairs, Spinoffs, placements ...) and through other resources such as online social networks. In the field of research and teaching, these networks have become an interesting tool for building learning communities (Santamaria, 2008). Moreover, as we propose in our work, social networks can serve as a bridge between the academic and professional, encouraging communication, collaboration, networking and management and knowledge transfer between the two areas. The objective of this research is to know and appreciate the willingness of teachers, students and professionals to use an academicprofessional social networking.Downloads
