Abstract

This article describes the results obtained in an experimental study, which was designed with the aim of developing a novel technique to work on aspects related to linguistic competence, information treatment competence of, and learning to learn competence, as a means to facilitate the inclusion in the society of the information of populations at risk of social exclusion. The technique combines reading, the game of the gymkhana and an artistic writing experience, in a library environment. It is applied to children from third grade in an ordinary school with a high number of students at risk of social exclusion because they belong to population groups with a medium to low socio-economic level. The test group also presents a high index of children of migrant parents with languages ​​other than the native ones of the host country. The results indicate that the technique tested is positive in relation to the objectives set.
