Abstract

The Spanish translations of Lucretius are very late. The first printed version dates back to 1892. This paper analyzes the positive or negative, correct or distorted view that, from an ideological perspective, was offered by the first translators of Lucretius: Santiago Sáez, Abbe Marchena, Matías Sánchez and Manuel Rodríguez-Navas.
