Abstract

Singularizing the place of art in the Argentine school context, particularly in the province of Buenos Aires, we propose to investigate curricular perspectives of the late twentieth century. Specifically, we are interested in identifying and analyzing the considerations of its teaching in the documents produced between 1984 and 1999. Questioning the consideration of Aesthetic Education proposed by the documents from the 1984-1987 period, and the foundations of Art Education presented by the publications produced between 1995- 1999. We start from the hypothesis that between one denomination and another we find overlapping of meanings in pedagogical discourses on the presence and functions of art in Buenos Aires schooling. In the light of our main objective, we elaborated a mapping of the different official guidelines, that is, presentation, description and ordering of them, from an ethnographic perspective on the documents, which implies recognizing what is produced in the field of the state as a field of research in itself (Muzzopapa E., Villalta C., 2011).
