Abstract

The host structures are endowed with capacities that trigger patterns that determine units of mutual belonging in social processes. This article analyzes if the characters of the series The Wire have the possibility of being assigned to host structures that guide their lives. The result of the investigation shows that the characters are reduced to a struggle for self-preservation. The host structures are not able to break through the precariousness of these characters, since there is an existential inertia that crosses all the human and social material, endowing it with an unstable character. Even education can not be erected as a welcome structure at the service of the characters. Consequently, each character will see in the justification of the type of life in front of him a delocalized phenomenon that a transaction option between the things he knows of the world and reality. It is also come to the conclusion that the concretion of the indeterminate that develops all artistic work conditions the totality of the human being as an intersection with vital leaps that elevate the individual existence to an ontological phase whose existential forms transcend the parameters of artistic expressiveness.
