A decade of brazilian art in Spain (2005-2015): state of the art
Abstract
In the period 2005-2015, coinciding with an economically rich period in Brazil, several Spanish institutions, public and private, programmed an unprecedented number of exhibitions of Brazilian art. This article aims to analyse some issues that we considers important about the role of Spanish institutions in the visibility and internationalization of Brazilian art. In this sense, this article has two major objectives: 1) to present a state of art, displaying the exhibitions of Brazilian art in Spain, and; 2) to discuss the narratives of Brazilian art through the analysis of formats, categories, artists and agents present in these exhibitions.
