Abstract
This work presents evidence of the main contributions of using watercolor painting as a therapeutic tool for the neurological rehabilitation of visuospatial attention and cognitive functions following acquired brain damage. It addresses aspects related to deficits in the agnosic process of recognizing form and space in representation, offering a brief comparative overview of the results obtained from practical neurological rehabilitation exercises using watercolor. The analysis examines the results in the process of recognizing form and space in artistic representation, taking into account the main deficits and alterations in the affected areas that are evident. In this study, the therapeutic function of watercolor constitutes a proposed rehabilitation approach to help all individuals, with or without brain damage, feel more secure and confident in their abilities.
