La producción del documental transmedia en el Perú. El análisis de las hipermediaciones en tres documentales emblemáticos

Abstract

This research paper analyzes the characteristics of the production of the first transmedia documentaries in Peru made between 2015 and 2019. The transmedia documentaries Proyecto Quipu, La vida no vale un cobre and Ruta de Fuga, made by three Peruvian female directors (Rosemarie Lerner, Maga Zevallos and Francesca Dasso) narrate social and political issues of special interest to public opinion. They have multimedia platforms on the web and a digital media network that allows the expansion of the franchise. Carlos Scolari's theory of hypermedia allows the description of five aspects required to achieve communication in digital environments (digitalization, hypertextuality, reticularity, interactivity and multimedia) and serves as a basis for analyzing the particularities of the production of the three transmedia documentaries. The results of the study show that transmedia documentaries enjoy remarkable interactive interfaces and a high density of hyperlinks, although the generation of convergence that fosters interaction and co-creation to build strong communities and generate truly immersive experiences is still pending.
