Fiction and non-fiction in "Adolfo Suárez, el Presidente"
Abstract
Over the last years, the trend in fiction to represent real facts or characters is growing on Spanish screens. The mini-series also take this trend and incorporate it in its discourse. Adolfo Suárez, el Presidente (Antena 3, 2009), presents the life of this Spanish politician of the Transition. This article analyzes, from the perspective of Fiction/Non-fiction, which elements belong to fiction and which belong to non-fiction, in the miniseries. The methodology is based on the textual analysis of this fiction and this is enriched with interviews with the authors: Juan Carlos Rubio (screenplay) and Emiliano de Pedraza (producer).
