Trasvases entre teatralidad material y virtual: Ronem Ram y Ronem Ram.0 de Onírica Mecánica
Abstract
The stage frequently incorporates technologies in support of the artistic communication, such as the Internet, the augmented reality, tablets or smartphones. Thanks to them, the last decade of the 20th century and the two first decades of the 21st have seen many theatrical experiences take shape through the net. In this context, the confinement motivated by the pandemic of covid-19 favoured the expansion of virtual spectacles, many of which were a transformation of their physical form. One of them was Ronem Ram.0, previous version of the installation Ronem Ram, which addresses the ecological disaster in the Mar Menor in the region of Campo de Cartagena by means of the artistic speculation with scientifical basis. Its creator is Jesús Nieto, director of the company Onírica Mecánica, which is framed in the object theatre and is characterised by the continuous research of the technologies incorporated in the dramaturgy with great importance of the stage plastic and sound. This paper analyses the work emphasizing the relationship between the virtual and the on-site experience. To do this, it explores from the reception of the visitor-spectator how the interaction and immersion raised in the route are transposed to the virtual format and allow to get a theatrical experience by taking advantage of the platform’s resources, which are described in connection with the spectacular dramaturgy.
