Children's participation in an after-school shift: requests about changes and cell phone use expressed in conversation circles
Abstract
This text is a research clipping carried out in a Center for Children and Adolescents (CCA), located in a district in the east side of the city of São Paulo, Brazil, an institution that offers activities outside school hours, called after-hours. Through the presentation and analysis of two episodes that bring some aspects about the use of cell phones by children and adolescents, we seek to present the CCA, develop the concepts of childhood, child and participation, in addition to understanding the place in which it is presents and what changes groups want for the collective benefit. Childhood Studies are used as a theoretical-methodological reference for the analysis.
