1 The Journal of Research in Speech Therapy is a scientific journal that publishes empirical and theoretical manuscripts both in Spanish and English that contribute to the specific knowledge of the Speech Therapy.

2 Submission of a manuscript implies that the work has not been published before and that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else. Submission also implies that the publication has been approved by all co-authors.

3 Manuscripts submitted must be written double-spaced in Times New Roman 12 points. Manuscripts must nor exceed 8000 words in case of empirical researches or 10.000 in case of theoretical ones, considering all parts of the work.

Two different files have to be attached:

The first file contains the cover letter. The cover letter includes names and filiations, concise and informative title, short title (no more than 12 words) and contact of, at least, the first author (mail, e-mail and telephone). Additional comments to editors are included in this cover letter. Authors can provide a list of 3-6 reviewers for their papers. E-mails and filiations of possible reviewers must be provided.

The second file contains the text of the manuscript. Abstracts (150-250 words) and key words (3-6 words) are provided on the first page. When the original language of a manuscript is Spanish, an English translation of the title, abstract and keywords will be provided on the consecutive page. The text of the manuscript starts on the next page and the bibliography starts on a new page. Tables and footnotes appear in the text where authors consider appropriate; however authors should try not to include unnecessary tables or footnotes. Pages are numbered from the first page. The short title will appear centred on each page in order to facilitate the anonymous revision.

4 All manuscripts will be anonymously evaluated by two reviewers. In case of discrepancy between both reviewers the scientific committee will decide about the acceptance. Since the reviewing process is masked, authors should make every effort to ensure that the manuscript itself contains no clues to their identities.

5. Manuscript must be in accordance with the publication rules of the APA (Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 2019, 7ª edition).

The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication. Personal communications and unpublished works should only be mentioned in the text. Reference list entries should be alphabetized by the last names of the first author of each work

6. When a manuscript is accepted for publication the copyright of the article is transferred to the Journal. It will ensure the widest possible protection and dissemination of information under copyright laws. Editors will not reject any reasonable petition to authors.

7. Authors should submit their manuscripts online through OJS, provided on the Journal of Research in Speech Therapy website.
