Abstract

The aim of this paper is to reconstruct the use made by Norman and Swabian kings of Sicily (in particular Roger II, William II and Frederick II) of their royal images to present themselves in a public way. Identified the official images of each king, we are going to reconstruct their function, their spread and their destination in contemporary society.
