Relations between interventions on Instagram
Abstract
This research has two main objectives: on the one hand, to qualitatively examine the expressions used in public discourse on Instagram to express argumentative co-orientation and anti-orientation relations and, on the other, to detect interactive dynamics typical of communication on this social media. To do so, we take the Instagram section of the MEsA Corpus as a reference. The main theoretical approach used is Macrosyntax (Fuentes Rodríguez, 2017, 2019), developed from Pragmatic Linguistics (Fuentes Rodríguez, 2017 [2000]). In turn, we use the concepts of obligation, predictability and preference (Sacks et al. 1974) and the distinction of the Val.Es.Co. group (2014) between direct and indirect interventions.
