Influencias morfosintácticas de la lengua vasca en el castellano actual: orden de elementos, condicional por subjuntivo y pronombres complemento átonos de 3ª persona
Abstract
“Morphosyntactic influences of Basque language on nowadays Spanish: word order, use of conditional tense instead of subjunctive, and 3rd person unstressed complement pronouns” In this article we study some phenomena that can be considered the result of the influence of Basque on Spanish: word order in the sentence, the use of conditional tense instead of subjunctive, and some peculiarities related to the use of 3rd person unstressed complement pronouns. This belief is based on historical linguistic reasons, of Spanish language formation in its origin, and also on reasons of socio cultural and linguistic contact in the Basque Country, an area where both languages, Spanish and Basque, coexist.
