Posicionamiento y dialogicidad en la escritura académica y profesional
Abstract
This research aims to provide an intercultural perspective on the aspects of stance and dialogicity in the written production of texts written in Spanish and English by undergraduate/graduate students and experts in their disciplines. Both stance and dialogicity are essential components of academic and professional texts that contribute to expressing the author’s identity, perspective, and their specific discourse community affiliation, which are used to show credibility and maintain adherence to their ideas to the other members of the discipline. This project aims to help writers better understand how native speakers of these two languages express their authorial voice and position in written discourse in different academic and professional settings.
