The creative process as training for change:art therapy applied to people under treatmentof eating disorders
Abstract
In this article the results of an Art Therapy programme carried out with people with Eating Disorders are analysed and subsequently compared with similar interventions in different countries, with the aim of achieving general conclusions able to be validated for this collective. Through the description of the creative strategies used by the patients, it is possible to understand the evolution of the final work during this process. It consists of stereotyped figures, autobiographic work and abstracter presentations that help people with ED to develop new abilities and a more constructive vision of themselves.Downloads
