FEAPA: 15 años de historia
Abstract
The article comments extensively on the work carried out by the FEAPA (Spanish Federation of Professional Art Therapy Associations) since its foundation in 2010. It describes in detail the objectives pursued during this time, the areas where work has been done – from the development of an ethical code to actions in favor of the legalization of the profession –, and the directions towards which the group is moving. The importance of the work of substantiating art therapy practice that the FEAPA has carried out during these years is highlighted, as well as its efforts to serve as a reference and support when establishing inclusion criteria and encouraging research. The FEAPA also seeks to give the profession in Spain a rigour equal to that of other countries where its practice is officially recognized, and enjoy a more sustained historical background.
