Abstract

The psychological nature of the implicit theory is analized amI a hypothesis of implicit theories about artistie creativity is raised. Fromm a historiographical study, the article pose the origins offive different implicit theories about artistic creativity. The theories were defined as: theory of emotional expression, theory of psychological disorder, theory of the search of oneself, theory of the communication and theory of innate special g<fts. Finally, the article develops an empirical study about the tipicality rates in each theory of the ideas connected with the way of rhinking, the behavior ami artistie trends supposed in ihe different kinds of painters. The study showed that propositions were jointed in groups whith several levels of tipicality and each group belonged to a different implicit theory.
