Imaginal productions: social bond and subjectification in a society between images
Abstract
The article presents the notion of “imaginal productions” with the aim of understanding ways of articulating the subjectivities and relationships between individuals in the contemporary social life assumed in its global character. On that basis, it presents an analysis of transformations of social life grounded in the “cultural paradigm”. This makes it possible to understand the images as perspectives of articulation of links and constitution of social ties which are more fragile but at the same time more dynamic. Thus, the article reflects on consumer societies and their processes of deinstitutionalization and detraditionalization whose consequence is the constitution of a visual culture in which the images and aesthetics embodied in consumer practices, fashions and designs define a new ethical and other conception models of subjectivation and action for daily life in the present time.Downloads
