Kunstcoop: experiences of art mediation in Germany

Abstract

This article analyses the term art mediation taking as example the educational practices of the German group Kunstcoop. In order to understand these experiences this text describes the process of construction and the institutional frame of the group, as well as it s educational politics, under the perspective of critical pedagogy , and its in-between development as interdiscursive practice. The collaborative work of the group is exemplified from its projects as deconstructive processes in art education that informs a action framework in gallery and museum education.

Javier Rodrigo-Montero, Proyecto Transductores Educador e investigador independiente

Educador e investigador independiente. Codirige el proyecto cultural y de investigación Transductores (www.transductores.net). Ha impartido y coordinado conferencias y talleres coordinados en diferentes universidades, centros culturales a nivel estatal e internacional. Editor y escritor de  ; Desacuerdos6 ;Prácticas dialógicas y los dos volúmenes de; Transductores. Es además autor de varios artículos y capítulos de libros sobre las prácticas culturales y mediación artística, pedagogías colectivas y políticas cultura-les. También ha desarrollado proyectos de investigación-acción, de mediación en museos y pedagogías colectivas en asociación con instituciones como el Museo Nacional Reina Sofía, MACBA, Fundación Pilar i Joan Miró, el Centro José Guerrero, Es Baluard, Fundación Museos Quito, Museo de Antioquia de Medellín o el Institute for Arts Education de la Uniervsidad de Zurich, entre otros.
