Galdós en el escenario conmemorativo: el recuerdo delirante como construcción de memoria pública.
Abstract
In this paper I will analyze the works El ultimo viaje de Galdós and Galdós, sombra y realidad, within the theatre produced for the centenary of the death of the Canarian writer, based on biographical aspects. I will focus on the use of intimate memory as a dramatic strategy that, together with providing body and voice, allows the figure to be portrayed in an exercise of renewal of public memory that challenges traditional forms of monumentality. In the end, the commemorative platform is being used to vindicate the memory of the female subject as it is located in Galdosian life and work.
