To ensure the integrity of the blind peer review process for submissions to the journal, every effort must be made to prevent the identity of authors and reviewers from being revealed. This means that authors, editors and reviewers (who upload documents as part of their review) will check that the following steps have been taken for text and file properties:

     1. The authors of the document have removed their names from the text by using "Author" and "Year" in references and footnotes instead of the author's name, article title, etc.
     2. For Microsoft Office documents, the author's identity must also be removed from the file properties (see under File in Word) by clicking on the following, starting from File in the main menu of the Microsoft application File > Save As > Tools (or Options on a Mac) > Security > Remove personal information from file properties on save > Save.
     3. For PDFs, the author's name must also be removed from the document properties found under File in the main menu of Adobe Acrobat.
