El origen de la palabra edda
Abstract
En el presente artículo se concluye que la palabra edda «bisabuela» y la palabra edda «título de libro» simplemente son homófonas. La palabra edda «título de libro» se analiza como un derivado de *eedí «poema escáldico» y el sufijo -a utilizado profusamente en la formación de títulos de obras literarias y de códices. Se concluye que su significado es, por tanto, el de «libro / tratado de poética escáldica» o «libro / tratado de poemas escáldicos».Downloads
