Dramatic and Postdramatic: two paths in contemporary theater

Abstract

The article starts from conceptual approaches to Dramatic and Postdramatic theater, based on the antecedents and praxis of both scenic manifestations. From these, the existing differences are contemplated in those derived from contemporary theater, which follows these paths, regarding texts, staging, interpretation and reception; in addition, the most outstanding characteristics of one and the other type of theaters are contrasted.
