Abstract

Performing arts come from ritual as a celebration of the existence of a community with a set of shared values and mythology. In the 21st century, the idea of community transcends the physical barriers and it is referred predominantly to virtual ones. Taking this into consideration, the present article proposes an analysis of the ontology of a live event per se and breaks down several fields of research for a hybrid event with mediated and unmediated communication.
