Neruda’ Antibiography. Analysing Flavia Radrigán’s "Un ser perfectamente ridículo"
Abstract
The dramatic text Un Ser Perfectamente Ridículo written by the Chilean playwright Flavia Radrigán reveals a not-so-known dimension of the famous 1971 Nobel Prize in Literature, Pablo Neruda. This research focuses on the analysis of the work written by Flavia Radrigán to dismantle the historical potential as a document of recovery, while decomposing its dramaturgical resources used to create a contentious, visceral and non-hegemonic political text. Based on the concept of antibiography proposed by Terradas Saborit, a new versión is developed that suggests a more global perspective, using it as a reference for the analysis of Radrigán’s play. Using pragmatic hermeneutics and interpretation, with an qualitative approach as the underlying methodology, parameters are established to develop parallels and contradictions between the poet’s oficial biography and playwright’s denunciation.
