Additional publications for diffusion of History in education: the picture book "Guernica"
Abstract
In this article we propose the picture book, a particular kind of illustrated books in which text and image interact to each other throughout the narration, as a supplementary material to the History textbook. Therefore, three factors were analyzed, the narrative structure, the multiple ways of interaction between the image text, and the content of the picture book Guernica. By analyzing of this book, written by the historian Bernard and illustrated by the painter Charpentier, we demonstrate the potential of such publications as academic education material.Downloads
