El presente artículo es una reseña del libro de Alberto Mira El teatro musical de Stephen Sondheim, publicado por Akal en 2024. Incluye unos comentarios previos sobre la relevancia de esta publicación como primera monografía en castellano dedicada a este autor, una revisión de la base teórica empleada por Mira para abordar sus análisis de la obra de Sondheim, una descripción de la estructura y contenidos del libro, y un comentario crítico sobre el discurso y las conclusiones alcanzadas.
