“Así se escribe la historia”: verdad y verosimilitud en Los trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda: historia septentrional
Abstract
The subtitle “history” assigned to Miguel de Cervantes posthumous novel Los trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda (1617) allows to ascribe it to the historical discourse. In this sense, on the one hand, the novel’s narrative authority enjoys creating discursive and generic expectations that the text will partially disavow, while on the other hand, it questions and puts into perspective commonly admitted notions of truth and verisimilitude, creating an extremely sober and ironic novel.Downloads
