Abstract

Tragically, the violence employed by men against their partners is very much in the news. The roots of this phenomenon are sunk deep in our society, as proved by the numerous articles written by Emilia Pardo Bazán, who complained a century ago that these crimes were widespread and their authors went unpunished.
