Sobre lectores «populares» y lectura común en España (1870-1936)
Abstract
Essay on the problematic characteristics of «popular» issues in «common» readership through a survey of historical sources (educational projects, public libraries, mass literacy programs, printing-house productions) and textual sources (literary texts basically). Three main research f ields can be distinguished: literacy, extensive reading and ideology. The reading habits surveyed reveal basic conflicts between norm and literary «taste» or «pleasure», which are solved in different manners.Downloads
