And the law became image? The Labour Law through a decade of Spanish and American cinema (1930-1940)
Abstract
One of the most common forms to understand and to analyze the representation is the one concerning the image in movement. When creating a film, the producers conceive a conscious or unconscious representation of the reality that surrounds them. The way in which the cinematographic discourse has represented and presented the birth and the diverse changes in the labouring relations, the subjects that compose this relation, State, proletariat and employer, the existence or absence of legislation sprung from the political power and the process of transformation of the labouring movement, constitute the main object of analysis of this document.Downloads
