Proposals on the representation of phraseology in online dictionaries
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to show certain guidelines for the representation of phraseology in different digital tools to later apply them to the project of Diccionario fraseológico multilingüe digital (DFMD), which is being developed at the Università Ca’ Foscari (Venice). Thus, the following lexicographic taxonomy of dictionaries is taken as a starting point: 1a. general monolingual vs. 1b. general monolingual with diatopic variety; 2a. monolingual of usage vs. 2b phraseological monolingual of usage. As a result, the research is based on a detailed analysis of the phraseological representation in different tools, currently available online and freely accessible. The orientations proposed take into account the advantages of digital resources such as the possibility of having an unlimited space and varied search modalities, always respecting the good lexicographic practice and characteristics of each of the planned models (classification and typology of dictionaries).
